TVUUC Gift Card Program (Grocery Certificates)

Participating Vendors: Fresh Market, Food City, Kroger, Panera Bread, Gourmet’s Market, and EarthFare.

The TVUUC Gift Card Program is a substantial fund raiser
that benefits the church. This fund raiser does not cost
participating TVUUC members and friends any money out of pocket
beyond what you would normally spend at the grocery store. The church
benefits from all purchases.

We’re experimenting with an expansion of the program by allowing the
gift cards to be purchased via the web with either your PayPal account or your credit card.
If you prefer to purchase your gift cards in person when you
attend church on Sundays, please continue to do that. There are two
drawbacks to purchasing the gift cards via the web:

1. The church must pay 2.9% to PayPal for each transaction.
2. A $3 charge for handling is added to each purchase.

• Guard your cards like cash. If you have several cards, don’t carry all
  of them with you at one time. This might also help prevent
  inadvertently throwing away a card that still has value, and keeping
  one that doesn’t.
• Check the balance inquiry option at the store before throwing a used card away.
• Date the cards at the date of purchase.
• Use the oldest card first.
• Get replacement cards through the church. If you have the card
  reloaded at the store, the church doesn’t get credit.
